ON Infrastructure
ON Data Center
AkashiQ owns and operates its own world class Tier 3 data center which is built according to the current best practices and ANSI / TIA 942 data center standards.

Our carrier-neutral facility is located on geologically stable flat ground with no known flood or seismic or other threats. It does not fall within any flight corridor further reducing the risk of air-borne threats.

Rest assured that your servers are secured, managed and monitored in a state-of-the-art facility. And as a customer you will always have ready access to our engineers and the most dependable support team.

ON NOC Infrastructure
AkashiQ's Network Operations Center (NOC) monitors everything from network traffic to performance to power to temperature to security systems to services, applications, known vulnerabilities and storage array status on customer servers.
  • Staffed, monitored and managed by certified systems administrators and network engineers round the clock (24/7/365)
  • State-of-the-art high resolution data audio/video equipments to monitor data
  • Command consoles for the control of local and remote systems in data center
  • Secure, highly restricted access to NOC by authorized staff only
  • Monitor and control of environmental systems - ex. electrical and cooling
ON Network Infrastructure
AkashiQ is a truly Carrier Neutral Data center with direct fiber connectivity featuring high quality bandwidth and abundant network capacity for maximum reliability and scalability. We employ multiple, Tier-1 upstream Internet providers and a dual-entry OC-48 SONET ring connection.
  • Ethernet network backbone is designed with a redundant architecture so there is no single point of failure
  • The network backbone that connects the distribution switches and the backbone routers uses Gigabit Ethernet over fiber optic cable
  • If desired, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity can be delivered directly to any Managed Server or co-location cabinet
  • Every server is "dual-homed" with two 100 Mbit switched network interfaces, each of which is connected to a separate upstream Ethernet distribution switch ensuring redundancy
  • BGP4 is available on all border routers to ensure quickest path to all IP destinations
  • Rodent Repellent systems are deployed to protect against cable damages
  • Moisture condensation detection system in place to avoid any sustained water damage in the data center
ON Power Infrastructure
Uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and provisioning to all data center equipment is an essential requirement to ensure high availability. AkashiQ's power systems are designed to provide uninterrupted power to all equipments in the data center in all situations at all times (24/7/365).
  • Redundant (N+1) Libert UPSs with high performance (VRLA) batteries power all essential equipments during generator start-up
  • Dual Power feed for every rack
  • Dense high capacity circuit distribution to prevent circuit failures or load issues
  • 240 VAC - 60 amps possible in each rack
  • 24/7 Electrical circuit load monitoring and management by trained professionals
  • N+1 redundancy on all systems ensuring there is no single point of failure
  • 2 x 1250 KVA generators with adequate diesel fuel on site in hot-refill ready status
  • Contracted 24 hours emergency refueling service to resupply in an emergency
  • Transfer of power is completely automatic and transparent (within 15 seconds) in the event of an outage using fast Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)
  • Regularly scheduled maintenance of backup power generators with certified contractors
  • 24/7/365 monitoring of generator systems at Network Operations Center (NOC) and at our Building Monitoring System (BMS)
  • Reduced power consumption and carbon foot print through green initiatives such as exclusive use of LED lamps, latest servers, switches and virtualization
ON Cooling Infrastructure
AkashiQ has invested in the latest cooling infrastructure keeping efficiency, lower operating cost and uninterrupted availability as the primary criteria.
  • Data center environment maintained at optimal temperature and humidity levels by computer controlled Building Management System (BMS) system
  • Separate hot and cold aisle layout considerably improves the efficiency of the cooling system leading to reduced energy consumption and cost
  • Dual redundant chilled water supply loops and multiple (N+1) data center grade Emerson air conditioning units are deployed
  • Augmented and 100% backed up by air cooled CRAC units
  • N+1 redundancy on all cooling systems means we have no single point of failure
  • 24/7/365 HVAC emergency service as well as regular maintenance is contracted to certified HVAC professionals
  • 10 foot (3000 mm) ceiling height contributes to maintaining ambient air temperature of 72 degrees F (22 degrees C)
  • 2 foot (600 mm) raised floor for efficiently supplying cold air to all equipment mounted on the racks
  • Leak detection system in place to avoid any sustained water damage in the mechanical gallery
ON Security Infrastructure
Our data center maintains the highest possible standards for physical security (24/7/365).
  • Access to the building is controlled by a perimeter security service with physical as well as video surveillance 24/7
  • Secondary check-in and bio-metric access control at the entrance to data center and mechanical gallery. All access is electronically logged and monitored
  • Systems administrators at NOC on the data center floor 24/7
  • Intrusion detection alarm systems in place throughout the data center
  • Event driven, fixed mount digital Closed Circuit (CCTV) with digital archive
  • RCC building with no windows in data center prevents entry or viewing of equipment
  • Man trap to ensure all access to the data center and mechanical gallery is controlled, monitored and authorized
  • No outdoor signage indicating data center facility and services in the building
  • Every individual rack in the data center is always locked with access code and key
  • Serial numbers on equipment are recorded at entry and exit points in data center
ON Fire Protection
AkashiQ's data center is equipped with the state-of-the-art fire suppression system incorporating three levels of protection.
  • Halon Fire Extinguishers
  • Monitored and maintained by 24/7 staff on and off-site
